Today I released my second sound- and sample library for Steinberg's hybrid sampler/granulator/synthesizer HALion 5 - Aureus Ventus.
Aureus Ventus - Golden Wind - is a unique library for HALion 5 which combines flute with all sorts of achromatic and chromatic percussion instruments like Hang percussion, various chimes (also glass chimes), glockenspiel, gongs, crotales, bells, singing bowls, some deep drums, break drums (steel break discs) and more.
The flute sounds for this library were created by using a special playing technique named Pars-Pro-Toto, invented by german flutist Andreas Mazur who also performed the samples used in Aureus Ventus. He found a method to create beautiful and expressive flute sounds by playing on the single parts of a conventional flute using special fingerings and embouchure techniques. This yields sounds somewhere in between a shakuhachi, an okarina, a viola and a voice, hard to describe in words really…
Multi-sampled bass flute instruments, some vocal and string sounds and temposynced percussion loops are also be included in this library.
In addition to the above a wealth of electronic derivatives create a counterpoint to the acoustic sound worlds. Tonal soundscapes, ethereal tinkles, warm and ominous drones, minimal sequences, lush pads and other fascinating textures created with programs like Kaleidoscope, crusherX, Metasynth, GRM Tools, Serum and Zynaptiq's Morph are layered with the acoustic sounds to create expressive instruments.
The patches will make use of HALion’s exceptional granular engine, it’s deep sample player and the synth engine, often layering or splitting different synthesis forms in one patch with key-switchable articulations or sound-combinations and round robin alternations.
All of the 108 presets have the 8 Quick Controls and the Modulation Wheel assigned, many also use Aftertouch and/or HALion's Sphere-modulator, some make use of the FlexPhraser and Trigger Pads.
You can view/download the PDF for Aqualignum with more details, the licence agreement and the patch list including playing tips and deteiled descriptions for each patch here.
Specifications:
108 patches
3.99 GB of original samples (wav/48 Khz/24 Bit/stereo)
Sonic Tabulator was my first soundset for Serum, released shortly after Serum's release and compiles 101 patches including 88 wavetables and 226 MB of samples.
Tabula Rasa is the sequel, but quite different from the first set and has all 4 Macros assigned per patch as the modulation matrix had been expanded with Serum version 1.03. This set and offers 104 patches, 330 MB of sample, 114 wavetables and 42 LFO shapes.
The Serum bundle is also discounted and can be found on the overview page.

After the miraculous disappearance of Camel Audio and the announcement that there would be no Alchemy version 2 and no further development of this unique instrument, I was in a state of consternation and sonic shock for a while, as I had many plans for it in the pipeline. Now that I’ve overcome this state and said good bye to Alchemy internally, here is a final sale for all eight libraries I created over the last 4 years, plus another collection of patches formerly compiled in the unlimited subscription.
Altogether these libraries comprise 17+ Gigabytes of samples which were produced originally for these libraries and 670+ patches (x8 variations).
Final sale means, that there will be no more discounts after March 8th, I will let these libraries live on patchpool for a bit longer afterwards and then tuck them away in a legacy section of the website.
So if some of you are in need of more of my Alchemy sounds with discount of up to 30% and even more on the big bundle, now is the chance to do so.
All wavetables in this set are created from scratch, either by resynthesizing acoustic instruments, vocals, percussion, hardware synthesizers and sounds derived from organic and inorganic materials like wood, metal, plastic and glass or by creating wavetables and single cycle waveforms in Serum’s own editor.
34 wav-samples were produced especially for this set including cinematic soundscapes and drones, abstract and atonal textures and acoustic percussion sounds.
Complex modulation routings enable the user to deeply interact with the sounds, often totally changing a patch at the turn of a Macro. Tabula Rasa contains a wide range of expressive sounds ranging from ambient drones and warm pads to dark and gloomy textures to cinematic impacts and sound effects to futuristic and new age-sequences to beautiful plucks and bell sounds to expressive leads, deep basses and edgy stabs.
You can view/download the PDF for this set including the licence agreement, more info and a detalled patchlist here.
Specs:
104 patches (75.9 MB)
34 samples (44.1 Khz/24 Bit/stereo) - 313 MB
All patches have Velocity, Modwheel and four Macros assigned, most patches also use Aftertouch
All demos were produced entirely with Serum using only patches from Tabula Rasa, no post-processing was applied apart from a limiter on the outputs and some volume automation, if several instances of Serum were used in a track. Only one demo uses external reverb processing, as mentioned in the track title.
All wavetables in this set are created from scratch, either by resynthesizing acoustic instruments, hardware synthesizers and sounds derived from organic and inorganic materials like wood, stone, metal and glass or by creating wavetables and single cycle waveforms in Serum’s own editor. Approximately 30 - 40 samples will be produced especially for this set including cinematic soundscapes and drones, abstract and atonal textures and acoustic percussion sounds.

All audio demos for Tabula Rasa are here, videos are in this youtube playlist, as I have only started, there are only a few tracks to listen to so far.
Best Of Iris Subscription Vol. 3 - Percussion, Mallets, Impacts, Loops - 81 patches - 1.36 GB of samples.
This third library excerpt comprises sounds which are derived from processed and raw samples of percussion instruments like gongs, bells, singing bowls, vibraphone, bowed cymbals, Hang (percussion), waterphone, djembe, timpani, framedrum, chimes, glasses, dumbbell plates, glockenspiel and ceramic materials. There are also some patches using electronic drum- and synth loops and you will find sounds derived from field recordings containing percussive impacts, textures and industrial noises.
All samples involved are embedded in the presets using the "Export"-function in the Iris Browser. After uncompressing the downloaded RAR-archive just drop the entire download folder into "Iris Library->Patches".
A PDF-list with the licence agreement and patch descriptions is included in the download folder and can also be viewed here.

My second sound library for MachFive 3 Ambient Strings focusses on atmospheric sounds and textures derived from string instruments like cello, violin (electric and acoustic), electric and acoustic guitars, psaltery (ebowed, plucked and bowed) and oud. The patches combine textural sounds, multisampled acoustic instruments and more exotic instrument articulations with electronic textures all derived from the dry instrument samples to create wonderful, ethereal, dark and mysterious sound worlds. Expressive multisampled instruments, temposynced instrument sequences and morphable soloistic phrases are also included in this library.
16 patches patches/instruments have scripted interfaces for extended sound manipulation, a snapshot system especially developed for this library allows the user to save and recall 5 snapshots, or recall the 5 snapshots programmed into the patches by default. So on top of the 75 patches this library ships with another 64 snapshot variations.
All non-scripted patches have the Modwheel and the 8 Macros assigned in the info tab, quite a few also use Aftertouch. Many patches integrate the wealth of MachFive's sound generators and combine them with granular and normal sampling. In many patches temposynced modulators are used to animate the amplitudes and filters of the involved samples and sound generators, often keyswitchable sound combinations or different articulations are available within one patch. All patches which have several different sounds split across the keyboard (often over a range of six octaves or more) use key-colouring in MachFive's keyboard which makes it easier to navigate through the various split sounds.
Scripting by Iain Morland.

All acoustic instrument-samples in this library are recorded in a dry studio environment with top notch Neumann microphones in L-C-R at 48 Khz/24 Bit. All microphone signals are phase-aligned which enhances the stereo field and the transparency of the recorded samples.
All demos were produced entirely with MachFive 3 using only patches from Ambient Strings, no post-processing was applied apart from a limiter on the outputs and some volume automation, if several instances of MachFive were used in a track.
There are plenty of videos demonstrating patches from this library in this youtube playlist.
Sonic Tabulator for Serum contains 101 patches including 1 variation covering a wide range of atmospheric sounds, warm pads, huge drones, tinkling bells, snappy plucks, expressive leads and resynthesized instruments, other worldy noises and animated sequences. Cold digitalness and darker soundworlds unite with warm, emotionally appealing sonic goodness.
All waveforms in this set are new and fresh, often created by using samples of acoustic instruments from the gigantic pool of patchpool samples as sound sources for the generation of wavetables. Depending on the amount of slots in Serum's modulation matrix, each patch has up to 4 Macros and the Modwheel assigned, many also use Aftertouch. As Serum also allows for sample playback in it's noise oscillator, a folder with wav samples (26 wavs / stereo / 44.1 Khz / 24 & 16 Bit / 226.4 MB) comprising soundscapes, drones, vocal and instrumental textures and field recordings is also included in this library.
